Saints bring back Daniel Lasco, place him on PUP list

Former Saints draft pick Daniel Lasco is not done in New Orleans just yet.

New Orleans has placed running back Daniel Lasco on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list on after he passed through NFL waivers.

Lasco was released earlier in the week with a failed physical designation when the Saints signed free agent running back Shane Vereen.

A seventh-round pick out of Cal in 2016, Lasco has had injury issues with the Saints. Last season, he was placed on injured reserve in November with a bulging disc. Lasco has made more of an impact on special teams than as a runner.
