Saints agree to four year contract extension with guard Cesar Ruiz

The Saints have secured a long-term contract with 2020 first-round pick Cesar Ruiz.
The sides have agreed to a four-year, $44 million extension with $30 million guaranteed, according to multiple reports. Kat Terrell if ESPN reports around 70% of the new contract will be guaranteed.
New Orleans did not pick up the fifth-year option on their starting right guard this spring. Ruiz has appeared in 46 games with 40 starts.
The Michigan product is healthy to start the 2023 season after missing the final three games of 2022 with a Lisfranc injury.
