With the loss of the services of recently-acquired long snapper Jon Dorenbos, the Saints signed former Cowboys long snapper and defensive end Zach Wood.

New Orleans also released running back Daniel Lasco and brought back offensive tackle Bryce Harris.

Wood spent time with Dallas Cowboys the past two seasons. The SMU product has not played in a regular season NFL game.

Lasco appeared in seven games for the Saints last season and had 11 carries for 32 yards. The former seventh round pick out of Cal made the roster out of the preseason with four other running backs but appears to have beaten out by rookie free agent Trey Edmunds for the fourth spot on the depth chart behind Mark Ingram, Adrian Peterson and rookie Alvin Kamara.

Harris, who has bounced on and off the roster this week, will serve as the primary backup to both left and right tackle spots heading into the regular season opener Monday night at Minnesota.
