The Saints have now filled their two remaining open roster spots by signing veteran linebacker Ray-Ray Armstrong as a free agent and promoting rookie wide receiver Lil’Jordan Humphrey from their practice squad.

Armstrong has spent time with the Browns, Giants, 49ers, Raiders and Rams since entering the league in 2013 and has been used mostly on special teams.

Humphrey signed with New Orleans after going undrafted out of the University of Texas. He made four catches for 103 yards and a touchdown with the Saints in the preseason.

Armstrong and Humphrey take spots on the 53-man roster left vacant after the team placed linebacker Alex Anzalone and wide receiver Keith Kirkwood on injured reserve. The Saints also released defensive tackle Taylor Stallworth and added rookie defensive end Carl Granderson to the roster off of the reserve list this week.
