The initial injury list for the New Orleans Saints is much smaller this week, at this time, as compared to last week.

Everyone not on injured reserve worked in some capacity with four players limited, including Drew Brees (shoulder), Erik McCoy (elbow), Ryan Ramczyk (back) and Michael Thomas (ankle/hamstring).

The injury-riddled 49ers had five players who did not practice today, including running back Tevin Coleman (knee), receivers Deebo Samuel (hamstring) and Trent Taylor (back), cornerback K’Waun Williams (ankle) and linebacker Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles (hamstring). Wide receiver River Cracraft was limited with a quad injury.

Of course, San Francisco starting quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo is out with a high ankle sprain. Garoppolo had his best game in the NFL at New Orleans a year ago in a 48-46 victory.

Nick Mullens is set to start Sunday in place of Garappolo.
