Rummel tops Salmen on lanes, 20-7

Archbishop Rummel used a balanced effort to defeat Salmen 20-7 in high school bowling action Thursday at Bowling USA in Slidell.

The Raiders won six of the eight team points in the first and third games and took five points in the second game, along with the three-point bonus for total pins.

Ruben Gendron had a 204 game and a 528 series to lead Rummel, while Josh Bares rolled a 511 series from the top of the lineup.

Sara Howell paced Salmen with a 580 series, including a 213 in the second game.

Both teams are back in action Monday at AMF All Star Lanes in Kenner. Rummel meets Chalmette while Salmen faces Kenner Discovery.
