Rummel senior Donovan Kaufman named Metro Prep Player of Week
Archbishop Rummel senior Donovan Kaufman has been selected as the R&L Carriers New Orleans Bowl Greater New Orleans Quarterback Club, Crescent City Sports, 106.1 FM NASH ICON and Friday Night Football Prep Player of the Week for Week 2.
A Vanderbilt commitment, Kaufman returned a kick 80 yards for a touchdown, returned another kick 31 yards, had three tackles, including a sack, recorded an interception and forced a fumble that was recovered for a touchdown in a 37-0 victory at Slidell.
Kaufman is coached by Nick Monica. He will be honored at the year-end luncheon of the Quarterback Club on Dec. 17.
