Rummel rallies past Jesuit on lanes

After being shutout in game one, Archbishop Rummel rallied for a dramatic 14-13 victory Monday over Jesuit on the opening day of the Greater New Orleans Prep Bowling League at AMF All-Star Lanes in Kenner.

The Blue Jays came out roaring, winning game one 8-0 as Adam Francis shot 212 and Trent Greco fired a 200 game as Jesuit shot 1,167.

The Raiders began their comeback in game two, winning 7-1 behind a 204 game by Ruben Gendron. Rummel completed the rally in game three with a 7-1 victory as Gendron fired a 224 game.

While Jesuit won total pins 3,152-3,085 to claim three bonus points, Rummel won the match.

Gendron had a 610 series for the Raiders and Cameron Falgoust shot 553 while Greco had a 556 series to lead Jesuit.

Rummel returns to action Thursday at 3:30 p.m. against Pearl River at Bowling USA Lanes in Slidell.
