The rematch of last year’s Division I state championship game will be carried live on radio and online Friday night.

No. 4 seed Catholic of Baton Rouge hosts Archbishop Rummel at 7 p.m. at Memorial Stadium on 106.1 FM NASH ICON. The game will be streamed on nashfm1061.com as well as the NASH ICON 106.1, TuneIn and iHeart apps.

The Rummel pre-game show begins at 6:45 p.m. as part of Ken Trahan’s Original Prep Football Report.

The Countdown to the Original Show begins at 6 p.m. as Les East and Emmanuel Pepis preview top playoff games around the state.

Ken Trahan of Cumulus New Orleans Sports and CrescentCitySports.com will have the call of the game along with former Rummel athletic director Phil Greco. Matt Sims of Crescent City Sports and 106.1 FM will provide sideline reports.

The Original resumes on 106.1 FM and all network stations immediately following the completion of the game.

The Raiders (6-1) have won four straight games after dropping their only game of the season to unbeaten Division I top seed Brother Martin (26-23) on Oct. 24. Rummel is the defending Division I state champion after beating Catholic 14-10 at Yulman Stadium in a thriller one year ago.

The Raiders are led by Richmond commit Kyle Wickersham. The senior quarterback has thrown for 1,251 yards and 17 touchdowns with five interceptions and he has rushed for 263 yards and three scores.

Notre Dame commit Logan Diggs is the leading rusher with 646 yards and seven touchdowns and Diggs has 18 receptions for 155 yards and two touchdowns. He has also returned a kick for a touchdown.

Raiders junior Nicholas Howard is the top receiver with 26 catches for 306 yards and six touchdowns.

Defensively, Memphis commit Kolbe Fields leads the way at linebacker with 57 tackles, including 11 for loss. He has forced a fumble and recovered a fumble.

Senior defensive end Caboz Craig has 44 tackles and 11.5 tackles for loss with four sacks.

Catholic (6-2) is led offensively by quarterbacks Landon O’Connor and Daniel Beale.

O’Connor, a junior, is battling an ankle sprain which has sidelined him most recently. O’Connor has passed for 476 yards and four touchdowns with an interception and he has rushed for 518 yards and nine scores.

Beale, a freshman, has passed for 448 yards and four touchdowns with two interceptions.

Bears junior Corey Singleton is the leading rusher with 523 yards and five touchdowns.

Matthew Reinholtz, a junior, is the top receiver with 20 catches for 185 yards and a score.

Defensively, senior lineman Christian Mannino is a standout up front while junior Josh Robertson has a pair of interceptions.

The Rummel-Catholic winner advances to face the winner of top seed Brother Martin vs. No. 9 Jesuit in the Division I semifinals.
