Rowland Skinner to speak Wednesday at Life Resources Bottom Line Luncheon

Rowland SkinnerRowland Skinner has been in baseball all of his life.

Skinner began in his youth at Girard Playground to becoming a star at St. Paul’s High School, at Millsaps College and Bossier Parish Community College. He went on to star at the University of New Orleans as well, helping the Privateers to a Sun Belt Conference title in 2000.

Skinner went on to become the head coach at Northlake Christian from 2003-09, guiding the Wolverines to back-to-back state championships in 2009 and 2010. He then went on to Mandeville as head coach for three seasons, leading the Skippers to the state playoffs twice.

Skinner took over the De La Salle baseball program in 2013. He led the Cavaliers to the state quarterfinals in Division II this season as he continues to build on an outstanding legacy.

Most important to Skinner is his faith.
