RUSTON, La. – Louisiana Tech fans will have the opportunity to watch the Lady Techsters play 17 times at the Thomas Assembly Center this season, the most home games in a span of almost two decades.

Head coach Brooke Stoehr and Co. will play eight non-conference games and nine Conference USA games at the TAC, a place that has seen the program win more than 85 percent of its home games since the facility opened in the early 1980s.

Tech’s eight home non-league games include matchups against Memphis, Wichita State, Arkansas State, McNeese, Southeastern Louisiana, Grambling State, Loyola-NO and LSU-Alexandria. Tech opens the season at home Nov. 7 in its annual Education Day Game against LSU-A with an 11:30 a.m. tipoff.

The only three non-conference games for Tech come at Ole Miss (Nov. 23), at Little Rock (Dec. 2) and at Houston (Dec. 8). Tech hosted all three of those teams last year, defeating both Ole Miss and Houston.

After playing only 16 conference games the past two years, the women have adopted an 18-game regular season format with traditional play for the first 14 games. Teams play all 13 members at least once and travel partner twice. The conference will predetermine the remaining four conference games no later than Dec. 15 with consideration for the most competitive matchups coupled with geographical constraints.

The Lady Techsters open up Conference USA play in early January. Tech matches up against Southern Miss in Hattiesburg, marking the fifth time in the last seven seasons the two league rivals open conference play against each other.

Tech’s seven home league games include WKU, Middle Tennessee, UAB, Southern Miss, Marshall, UTEP and UTSA while their six road conference games come against USM, FIU, FAU, Charlotte, Old Dominion, Rice and North Texas.

Season tickets for both the Louisiana Tech men’s and women’s basketball campaigns are on sale as the Bulldogs and Lady Techsters open the 2019-20 season in November. In a concerted effort to reach a broader range of its fan base, Louisiana Tech Athletics is offering more family affordable season ticket prices this season.

Men’s basketball season tickets, women’s basketball season tickets and combination season ticket packages have been reduced by as much as 67 percent over last year in some cases with a reduction of no less than 15 percent on all packages.

Deadline to renew season tickets is October 1.

The Lady Techsters welcome seven newcomers to the mix, including some local talent, while returning eight letterwinners from last year, including five who made starts during the season. Stoehr and Co. are also out to protect a TAC tradition that has seen the program win 85 percent of its home games since the building opened in the early ’80s.
