Mario Edwards

Multiple outlets report the New Orleans Saints have agreed to terms with veteran defensive lineman Mario Edwards, Jr.

The native of Gautier, Miss. began his career with the Oakland Raiders before spending 2018 with the New York Giants. He collected two sacks last season but previously managed 5.5 sacks in 30 games for Oakland, who selected him in the second round of the 2015 NFL Draft out of Florida State.

Versatile enough to play tackle or end, depending on the scheme, Edwards played tackle for New York.

The Saints signed former Patriots defensive tackle Malcom Brown earlier in the week.
