Reports: Saints re-sign linebacker Kiko Alonso

Kiko Alonso and the New Orleans Saints are reunited.
The team is bringing back their former starting linebacker on a one-year contract, mutiple outlets reported Thursday.
Alonso was one of three veteran linebackers to work out for the team before he was offered a deal.
In 2019, Alonso played on 13 games with New Orleans before suffering a torn ACL late. That was the last time he played in the NFL.
Set to turn 32 this month, the former Oregon Duck was a 2013 second-round pick by Buffalo. He has also played for the Bills, Philadelphia Eagles and Dolphins as well as the Saints.
Alonso will compete for a roster spot behind starters Demario Davis and Pete Werner.
