Report: Tulane men’s basketball coach Ron Hunter receives contract extension

Tulane men’s basketball has not become a winner in his two seasons at the helm but Ron Hunter has been rewarded for his progress so far.

The soon-to-be 57-year old coach has received a contract extension through the 2025-26 season, reports Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports.

Hunter took over a Green Wave squad that came off of a 4-24 campaign in 2018-19. Tulane is 21-30 under Hunter.

Overall, Hunter has a 454–326 career mark as a Division I head coach.
