Tulane baseball coach Travis Jewett was reported Monday as the “leading candidate” for the vacant job at his alma mater Washington State, according to D1Baseball’s Kendall Rogers.

Late Saturday morning, Rogers reports that sources indicate Jewett will remain with the Green Wave despite being the “frontrunner” for the opening at the PAC 12 school:

The 1993 graduate of Washington State just finished his third season at Tulane with a 32-26 record and a third-place finish in the American Athletic Conference. Jewett went 27-31 and 25-33 in his first two seasons Uptown.
