Report: Saints to work out CB David Amerson

The Saints are set to host former NFL starting cornerback David Amerson on a visit, according to The Advocate.

Amerson, 26, worked out for Green Bay on Tuesday before the Packers signed Bashaud Breeland, according to multiple reports.

After losing Patrick Robinson to a broken ankle, the Saints have already worked out Sterling Moore, Dexter McDougle, Robert Nelson and Josh Robinson this week in need of veteran help.

Amerson has played for the Redskins and Raiders, making 56 starts and eight interceptions. The Chieks let him go during the preseason.
