One of the most popular members of the Saints is going to be around for a long time.
Punter Thomas Morstead, who is one of two Saints — along with Drew Brees — still left from the Super Bowl team, has signed a five-year extension with the Saints, a league source confirmed to The Advocate on Friday.
Before the re-negotiation, Morstead was set to count over $4.1 million against the New Orleans salary cap in 2018 before becoming an unrestricted free agent after the season.
