The Saints continue to do their due diligence in search of quality backup running back options.

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, Alfred Morris has set up a visit with the Saints.  Another veteran free agent runner, Theo Riddick, visited training camp this past weekend in Metairie.

UPDATE: Morris instead agreed to re-join Dallas on a one-year deal.

The 30-year-old Morris ran for 428 yards last season for the 49ers. He has three-straight 1,000 yard seasons at the start of his career with the Redskins and spent the 2016 and 2017 seasons with the Cowboys.

The 5-10, 222- pound Morris is a physical back who thrives between the tackles.
