Jahlil Okafor

The New Orleans Pelicans are still trying to do it big.

Free agent center Jahlil Okafor has agreed to a deal with the Pelicans, reports ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

The two-year contract will have a partial guarantee on this season and a team-option for the 2019-20 season.

The former NBA third overall pick out of Duke in 2015 joins his third team after stints with the 76ers and Nets.

The 6-foot-11, 260 pound Okafor was made the league’s All-Rookie team when he averaged 17.5 points and seven rebounds but has failed to match that output in following seasons. He averaged 6.4 points per game last season in Brooklyn.

Okafor joins Julius Randle as offseason free agents to join the Pelicans in the wake of DeMarcus Cousins’ surprise departure to Golden State.
