Willie Fritz inherited Jack Curtis as defensive coordinator when the former became head coach at Georgia Southern after the 2013 season. The relationship went well enough that Fritz brought Curtis with him to Tulane two years ago.

Big XII power Oklahoma State and head coach Mike Gundy has taken notice of Curtis’ work and brought him in for an interview for the open position of Cowboys defensive coordinator, reports ESPN.com’s Jeff Trotter:

The Birmingham, Ala. native has been in college coaching as an assistant since the late 1980’s, including an eight-year stint at Northwestern State.
