Former LSU standout Naz Reid denied the allegation he was paid $300,000 to play for the Tigers by head coach Will Wade.

“It didn’t happen,” he said Thursday at the NBA Combine. “There was no deal.”

Former Arizona assistant Emanuel “Book” Richardson was shown on video during a recent federal trial discussing the recruitment of Reid and saying LSU had a $300,000 deal arranged to secure his signature.

The 6-foot-10 Reid left LSU after one season to sign with and agent and cast his lot in the NBA Draft. He is projected by some analysts as a potential late first round draft pick.
