“It didn’t happen,” he said Thursday at the NBA Combine. “There was no deal.”
Naz Reid says the $300,000 deal with #LSU is “not true.”
Adds that no coach at any school made him an type of financial offer and that he chose LSU because he liked the players, coaches – and not because of any money.

Former Arizona assistant Emanuel “Book” Richardson was shown on video during a recent federal trial discussing the recruitment of Reid and saying LSU had a $300,000 deal arranged to secure his signature.
The 6-foot-10 Reid left LSU after one season to sign with and agent and cast his lot in the NBA Draft. He is projected by some analysts as a potential late first round draft pick.
