Report: LSU Special Teams Coordinator Brian Polian transitioning to off-field role
LSU special teams coordinator Brian Polian is transitioning to an off-field role on Brian Kelly’s staff,, ESPN’s Pete Thamel reported Tuesday.
Sources: LSU special teams coordinator Brian Polian is transitioning to an off-field role at LSU where he’ll help manage the roster, NIL and the transfer portal in a GM-type role. With that move, LSU is searching for a new special teams coach.

The son of former NFL executive Bill Polian will reportedly help with the overall management of the program’s roster, NIL and the transfer portal activities.
Kelly is expected to hire a new special team coordinator to replace Polian.
Polian came over to LSU with Kelly from Notre Dame but consitency and overall soccess on special teams was lacking in numerous areas during the 2022 season.
