Kyle Edwards

Ex-Alabama and Destrehan High running back Kyle Edwards will return to his home state.

Matt Zenith of On3.com reports the former four-star signee in 2020 is leaving Tuscaloosa to transfer to Southeastern Louisiana.

Edwards, who signed with Alabama over LSU and other Power Five programs, has been in the portal since June. He has yet to receive a carry or touch of the football on the college level.

The 6-foot, 209-pound Edwards rushed for over 1,000 yards and scored 16 touchdowns in 2019 as a senior to help the Wildcats reach the Class 5A title game.
