The American Athletic Conference said Monday it has placed a “six-day hold” on the scheduled Nov. 28 game between Tulane and Memphis at Yulman Stadium, meaning the kickoff time for the Green Wave’s home finale would not be announced until Sunday.

According to a report from the Capital Gazette in Maryland, the hold may be slightly longer.

The conference office may move several games this week to get in Navy’s postponed conference games with Tulsa and Memphis, the report said, with the Navy-Memphis game being played on Nov. 28, when the Tigers are scheduled to be in New Orleans.

The schedule shuffle would include possibly moving the Tulane-Memphis and Tulsa-Cincinnati games to the weekend of Dec. 12. The other option would be to move the Tulane-Memphis game to Dec. 5 and the once-postponed game between Memphis and Houston, now scheduled for Dec. 5, back another week.

Navy has not played the last two weeks because of COVID-19. The Midshipmen’s annual matchup with Army is scheduled for Dec. 12.

The American’s championship game has already been moved back to Dec. 19.
