Week two of the LHSAA state football playoffs feature eight primary rematch games of continuing rivalries covering six different classifications.

In Class 5A, defending state champion and fifth-seed Zachary will host Hahnville. This will be the fourth meeting in four years between the Broncos and Tigers. Zachary won 41-20 at home over Hahnville in the second round a year ago. Zachary downed Hahnville 34-14 in the 5A state title game in 2017 in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. In 2015, Zachary whipped Hahnville 55-27 in the quarterfinals.

In Class 4A, No. 3 Karr, the 3-time defending state champion, renews acquaintances for the sixth time in five years with No. 19 Carver, who will host the Cougars on Friday at Joe Brown’s Victory Field. A year ago, Karr defeated Carver 31-19 in the regular season. In 2017, Karr survived a real scare with a 40-35 win over the Rams in the second round after easily defeating Carver 35-6 in the regular season. The Cougars dominated the Rams 65-0 in 2016 and won 48-22 in 2015.

In Class 1A, District 3-1A rivals meet for the second time this year when No. 8 Logansport hosts No. 9 Montgomery (8-3). The visiting Tigers won the first matchup 20-6 at Montgomery on Oct. 18. Logansport (5-5) has won five straight games after losing its first five games.
