A talented player for Isidore Newman and commitment for LSU’s football program are both no more.

Wide receiver AJ Johnson has announced he is moving to Florida where he will play football for his senior year. The nation’s 40th ranked receiver in the 2022 class per 247 Sports is no longer pledged to the Tigers.

UPDATE (8/10): Johnson will attend Cardinal Newman in West Palm Beach, Fla. for his senior season.

The 6-foot-2, 205-pound Johnson had 41 catches for 587 yards and six touchdowns while playing with quarterback Arch Manning as a junior in 2020.

LSU now has 15 known commitments for 2022.
