Recruiting: Warren Easton CB Wallace Foster IV commits to LSU
LSU is not only experiencing success regarding their upcoming 2023 signing class, but the Purple and Gold have gotten a jump on the rest of college football with a No. 2 ranking so far for 2024.
The Tigers scored a four-star cornerback from Warren Easton in New Orleans when Wallace Foster IV announced his committment.

Foster has offers from Texas, Ole Miss, Texas A&M, Tulane, Florida, Arkansas, Florida State, Hawaii and Kansas. Florida State assigned JFK alum and former St. Augustine head coach David Johnson to the case. Hawaii had former Warren Easton head coach Tony Hull try to sway Foster. Texas was thought to be the frontrunner for a time.
LSU running backs coach Frank Wilson, cornerbacks coach Robert Steeples and assistant recruiting coordinator Sherman Wilson combined to pull the 5-foot-11, 170 pounder to the Tigers. The offer from Brian Kelly came on April 13.
Foster represents LSU’s eighth known commitment for ’24. He the 15th ranked corner in the nation in the class.
Warren Easton has produced some outstanding cover men who play in the Power 5 currently, including Chester Kimbrough with Michigan State and Ronald “Champ” Lewis with the Texas Longhorns. .
As one who enjoys playing press, Foster excels in man coverage and flips his hips to mirror receivers. He shows good anticipation. Foster has outstanding ball skills. He also shines as a return specialist.
