Recruiting: Tulane gains commitment from Madison Central’s Blake Gunter for 2022
The No. 1 tight end recruit in the state of Mississippi’s 2022 recruiting class committed to Tulane via Twitter on Sunday.

Gunter, a three-star recruit, also received offers from numerous FBS programs including Arkansas, Central Florida, Florida State, Louisiana-Lafayette, Ole Miss, Memphis, Southern Miss, Tennessee and West Virginia.
Blake’s father, Bubba Gunter, played linebacker for Ole Miss from 1987-1989. Blake’s older brother, Grayson Gunter, played for Arkansas from 2016-2019 and finished up at Southern Miss as a graduate transfer.
The 6-foot-3, 230 pounder and Tennessee prepster Jackson Long, another three-star rated talent, are the two tight ends currently pledge to Tulane for 2022.
