LSU football is on a roll, landing their third pledge for the 2024 recruting class within a week’s time.

Davhon Keys out of Aledo, Tex. joins Kolaj Cobbins and Ahmad Breaux as recruits who committed to the Tigers within the last week.

The 6-0, 215-pound Keys is a four-star linebacker ranked 59th overall in the nation and third best at his position in the Longhorn state. Matt House and Kerry Cooks collaborated for the Tigers in securing a pledge from Keys.

On an unofficial visit to LSU last weekend, Keys was impressed with the facilities and the attention that he received from the entire staff. He received his LSU offer back in July 2022 and onsidered offers from Alabama, Penn State, Cincinnati, Oregon, Oklahoma State. Oregon, Houston, Arizona State, Colorado, Washington, Utah, Baylor, Missouri, Oklahoma, TCU, Pittsburgh and SMU.

A two-way performer, Keys led Aledo to consecutive Class 5A state titles in ’21 and ’22. He was also been recognized as an All-State performer as a sophomore and junior in talent rich Texas. In 2022, Keys accumulated 123 tackles and three forced fumbles.

Possessing great instincts, Keys can rush the passer, create pressure as a blitzer, drop into coverage and support against the run. He is an attention-to-detail performe who also demonstrates exceptional strength with a 355-pound bench press, 565 in the deadlift and 575 in the squat.

LSU has hosted many top recruits the past two weekends so more possible pledges could be arriving within the next few days.
