Recruiting: St. Aug’s Tannard Darensbourg commits to Texas Southern baseball
Outfielder Tannard Darensbourg is the latest St. Augustine baseball player set to continue his playing career at the next level.
Darensbourg has committed to Texas Southern.
In 2019, he hit .389 with 25 RBI, 30 runs scored and he stole 40 bases for the Purple Knights.
“Tannard was a real key in our success over the last few years,” St. Aug coach Al Robinson said. “He was one of the best defensive players and was outstanding getting us started as our leadoff hitter. Texas Southern will be getting a great player and a good character guy.”
Darensbourg will join St. Augustine teammate and fellow outfielder Jordan Vidato at Texas Southern as Vidato committed to the Tigers just over two weeks ago.
