Recruiting: Southern Lab linebacker Triplett commits to Arizona

Southern Lab outside linebacker Jabar Triplett has decided to play his college football for the Arizona Wildcats, pledging to the PAC-12 program over offers from Oklahoma State, Texas Tech, South Alabama,ULM, La. Tech, Nicholls, Grambling, Tulsa, Louisville, Memphis, Colorado State and Texas State.

The 2020 recruit becomes the 12th commitment in the class for head coach Kevin Sumlin.

The 6-foot, 215-pound Triplett defender is very active, recording 121 tackles with 11 sacks and five interceptions with three returned for scores last season. He visited Tuscon on Sept. 14th. Triplett also attended camps at LSU, Tulane and ULL during the summer.

Considered a sideline to sideline defender, Triplett runs very well with the skills to play safety. He is viewed as a jack of all trades utility player. Triplett runs the 4 X 100, 4 X 400 and throws the javelin for the Kittens track and field squad.
