Louisiana’s top-ranked running back and 10th overall player is headed to Starkville for college ball.

Ke’Travion “Bull” Hargrove from Ruston High School committed to Mississippi State, becoming the 21st member for the Bulldogs’ 2021 class. He is the only one of the group who has yet to sign.

The 6-foot, 185-pound Hargrove is explosive with 4.45 forty speed and also plans to be a sprinter for the State track program. He is lightning quick out of his cuts and elusive in the open field. As a good cut back runner who sees the backside holes, he can change direction without slowing down. Far from a finesse runner, Hargrove does not shy away from contact.

A minor knee injury in October limited him to 92 carries on the season, but he still managed to collect 793 rushing yards (on a 8.6 yard average) with 11 touchdowns. As a junior in ’19, Hargrove tallied 1,537 yards (7.4/carry) and 20 scores. He is considered the 15th best running back in the nation according to 247 Sports.

Hargrove models his game after Saints star Alvin Kamara.

Previously committed to Louisiana Tech, Hargrove also considered offers from Baylor, Florida State, Boston College, Michigan State, Oklahoma State, ULL, SMU, Houston, Tulane, Memphis and South Carolina.
