Louisiana-Lafayette added their 11th commitment for 2019, while the Southeastern Lions gained a pledge from the River Parishes.

Wide receiver Peter LeBlanc from Cathoilc New Iberia committed to the Ragin Cajuns. The 6-foot-2, 170 pounder attended camps at LSU and Tulane. He also considered an offer from Louisiana Tech.

Cajuns receivers coach Mike Desormeaux, responsible for the recruitment of LeBlanc, is a former Ragin Cajuns quarterback who also prepped at Catholic New Iberia.

Last season, LeBlanc snared 39 passes in 2017 for 885 yards (22.6 yard average) with 11 touchdowns. He is a deep threat who excels at running after the catch. LeBlanc cradles the ball and gains good release off the line.

An avid Cajuns fan growing up, LeBlanc starred in track for CNI as well. He finished second in the 300 meter low hurdles and fifth in the triple jump at the state meet.

Cajuns head coach Billy Napier is crafting a top rated recruiting class, considered the best in the Sun Belt. Currently with 11 pledges for ’19, the Cajuns have nine 3 stars. Seven of the commits hail from the Pelican state.

New Southeastern Lion head coach Frank Scelfo continues to build his first class in Hammond.

Destrehan linebacker Gladar “Alex” Huszar (6-1, 215) committed to the Lions as their latest coup. Huszar displays good drops in pass coverage, takes no false steps and makes a beeline toward the ball carrier. He fills the gap quickly from his and is a sure fire open field tackler.

Other players the Lions hope to sign in the upcoming class:
-De La Salle RB Kendall Collins (5’7-180) likes the Lions but also has an offer from Northwestern State.
-Riverdale RB Antonio Joseph (5-10, 205) is considering offers from SLU, ULL, ULM, McNeese, Nicholls and Northwestern State.
-Southern Lab OG Jacques Wallace (6-4, 280) has offers from Liberty, New Mexico State, SLU and Texas State.
-East St. John TE Hoxie Brown (6-3, 225) is looking at SLU, McNeese, Tennessee State, Nicholls and Prairie View.
-Dutchtown CB Jordan Jackson (5-10, 160) has no offer from the Lions yet, but Arkansas Pine Bluff and Midwestern State have offered.
-Kentwood WR Ed Magee (5-11, 170) plays opposite of LSU target Trey Palmer in the Kangaroos receiver corps. Idaho and SLU have offered Magee so far.
