The Notre Dame Fighting Irish dipped into southeast Louisiana once again and scored a verbal commitment from Ponchatoula wide receiver Amorion Walker.

His pledge gives the Irish nine commits for the 2022 signing period.

Walker was limited to only a couple of games last season due to injuries yet still drew offers from Notre Dame, Florida State, Tulane, Miss. State, Ole Miss, Kansas State, Kansas, SMU, Southern Miss, West Virginia, Georgia Tech, Washington State and Memphis.

The 6-foot-3, 188 pounder has 4.5 forty speed and negotiates the 100 meters in 10.8 seconds while also participating in other sprints and the triple jump in track and field. He boasts a 38″ vertical leap. He holds a 3.8 GPA.

Walker has an explosive initial step and gains separation in his routes with ease. He is not just a field stretcher since he consistently catches balls away from his body with solid hands.

Amorion’s dad played at Mississippi State. His uncle, Reggie Walker, was an All-Big XII Conference defensive end at Kansas State now in his second season with the Arizona Cardinals.
