The third ranked receiver in the state of Louisiana’s 2021 class is headed to Kansas.

Four-star wide out Keon Coleman from Opelousas Catholic tabbed the Jayhawks of Les Miles over Oklahoma and South Carolina.

Offers from Oklahoma State, Ole Miss, Houston, Florida State, Tulane, Miss. State, Texas A&M, Memphis, Louisville, Georgia, Virginia, ULL, Michigan State and Miami also came Coleman’s way.

As a 6-foot-4, 185 pounder with speed, Coleman triple threat athlete, he drew offers from Michigan State in both basketball and football. Opelousas Catholic went 22-8 on the hardwood with the high-flying Coleman averaging 26 points, nine rebounds, seven assists and four steals per game. He also excels in track and field in the high jump and long jump events.

In reeling in Coleman as the 13th pledge for Kansas’s 2021 class, Miles was aided by receivers coach Emmett Jones during the recruiting process.

Coleman possesses the skills to dominate on the gridiron, catching 35 passes for 1,143 yards and 22 touchdowns while averaging an impressive 32.7 yards per grab last season. He is a long strider with a superb work ethic including dedication in the weight room. Coleman finds the open space in the secondary, shows solid hands, wins high balls, rarely drops a pass. He has the ability to dominate.
