Ohio State cornerback Sevyn Banks announced Tuesday he will transfer to LSU.

For the Tigers, the addition will be the fifth FBS defensive back to join the program through the portal this off-season.

A graduate transfer who considered entering 2022 NFL Draft, Banks changed his mind. His brother Marcel Harris played four seasons in the NFL with the 49ers.

Banks (6-1, 200) has lined up in 28 games for the Buckeyes with nine starts at cornerback. He totaled 43 tackles, 13 pass breakups and a pair of interceptions, one coming in the Sugar Bowl against Clemson. Injuries have been his primary problem, in 312 defensive snaps in 2021 over six starts, Banks tallied seven tackles and one pass defensed.
