Tulane’s 10th pledge for the 2022 class is the biggest football player that the school ever recruited. Not by mass but sheer height, Sunday’s commitment is a skyscraper.

Offensive tackle Keanon McNally from Kearney, Missouri visited New Orleans on July 25 and immediately feel in love with the campus and the city. The 6-foot-10, 285 pounder also felt very comfortable in the Green Wave football environment, particularly with the coaching staff. It was his very first trip to the Crescent City.

McNally considered offers from Wyoming, South Dakota, Eastern Illinois and Eastern Michigan. He camped at Nebraska and gained a long look from Kansas. He also plays basketball at Kearney High, moves well on the court and thrives as a shot blocker.

Besides the obvious length, what makes McNally even more intriguing is his lack of experience in football, having not started until the fourth game of the ’20 season. He is the 32nd rated player in the state of Missouri.

His initial campaign in college will be spent gaining weight and strength, along working on technique to maximize the advantages and cope with the disadvantages of being such a tall lineman in college football. McNally does possess the required size and intangibles to develop into a starter.
