Recruiting: Madison Prep’s Joel Williams commits to Florida
The Florida Gators have had success recruiting on Louisiana soil in the past and scored a another win here Sunday.
Madison Prep cornerback Joel Williams picked the Gators over LSU, Tennessee, Georgia, Texas and Texas A&M. Florida jumped to the head of the line within the past couple of days for the 6-foot-1, 180 pounder who represents the 12th pledge for their 2020 class.
The Gators are now up to the fifth spot overall nationally in the ranking for the 2020 recruiting cycle.
McDonogh 35 safety Brad Stewart is a two-year starter for UF, although just a junior, and Warren Easton’s Chester Kimbrough arrived to Gainesville as another talent cornerback in the 2019 recruiting class.
