Recruiting: LSU makes final five for Georgia prep linebacker Phillip Webb
LSU currently sits with 24 commitments in their 2020 football recruting class. I expect there will be a slight adjustment soon.
Phillip Webb, a highly coveted 4 star linebacker out of Sugar Hill, Georgia, has paired down to a final five, including LSU, Alabama, Auburn, Florida and Oklahoma. He stated that he feels most comfortable at one of those spots.
The 6-foot-4, 212 pounder visited Baton Rouge in June and then made a return visit to catch the -LSUFlorida game in Tiger Stadium. He plans to be in Tuscaloosa for this weekend’s mega matchup between the Tigers and the Crimson Tide. He will be at the Florida-Florida State contest Nov. 30th.
Webb does plan to sign in the early period starting December 18. That part of the equation seems solid. He not only excels on the gridiron but in the classroom with a 3.8 GPA. He wants to major in biology.
Webb appears to be drawn to LSU’s coaching staff and atmosphere.
