On the first day of the 2020 NFL Draft, a prized recruit picked LSU.

Wide receiver JoJo Earle from Aledo, Texas became the sixth commitment for the 2021 class.

The 5-foot-9, 170 pounder is a pack of dynamite with 149 career grabs for 2,691 yards and 31 touchdowns. In 2019, the four-star talent had 84 catches for 1,600 yards and 15 scores. He also averaged 7.5 yards per carry while producing 11 additional touchdowns last season.

Rated as the fifth best receiver nationally, Earle runs a 4.36 forty and has posted a 36″ vertical. He also runs a sub-11.00 in the 100 meters.

Mickey Joseph was the chief recruiter of Earle for LSU, overcoming offers from USC, Texas, Texas A&M, Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Oklahoma, Oregon, Oklahoma State, Michigan, Ohio State, Georgia, Florida State, Baylor, Colorado and Florida.

Earle shows quick bursts out of his cuts and an outstanding catching radius. He is elusive in the open field and displays good separation on route. He is ideal in the slot. LSU’s wide open offense and success passing were key componens in the recruiting process.

It is speculated that Earle’s commitment to LSU may carry a lot of weight nationwide as the Tigers build their 2021 class.
