Recruiting: Landry-Walker DB Tywan Francis commits to Louisiana Tech over Tulane, others
Louisiana Tech added their 14th pledge for the 2018 football recruiting class with the commitment of 3 star defensive back Tywan Francis from Landry-Walker.
Francis, 5-foot-11, 180 pounds, chose Tech over offers from Tulane, UAB, Troy, Kent State, Ball State, Arkansas State, North Texas, South Alabama, SLU, Nicholls and ULM. SEC schools LSU, Miss. State and Arkansas have been monitoring him closely.
With skills to play cornerback or safety, Francis plays with emotion and fire. He has good ball reactions, comes up quickly and is a will He anticipates the receiver’s body language well.
Francis recorded three interceptions and 52 tackles in 2016.
