Recruiting: Lafayette Christian’s Fitzgerald West commits to LSU for 2022

Offensive lineman Fitzgerald West‍ of Lafayette Christian Academy announced his commitment to LSU in an on-campus ceremony Saturday.

The third commitment of the week for the Tigers and 14th overall for the Tigers in their 2022 class also held offers from Alabama, SMU and Tulane.

The 6-foot-2, 305 pounder could end up on the interior offensive line at center or guard as well as defensive tackle at the next level.

West, who helped LCA win another state title last December, has started for the Knights since his freshman season.
