Recruiting: Kentwood ATH Cornelius Dyson commits to Tulane

Tulane made its very first splash into the 2020 recruiting class Thursday with the commitment of Cornelius Dyson from Kentwood.

The 3 star athlete is expected to play defensive back on the college level.

The 6-foot-2, 175 pounder considered offers from Tulane, ULL and Idaho.

Dyson not only shines on the gridiron but also displays outstanding skills on the hardwood and in track. He competes in the 110 meter hurdles (15.47 seconds), 300 meter hurdles (41.6 seconds), long jump (21′ 2″) and triple jump (46 feet). He also holds a 3.5 GPA.

Showing both good explosion and very physical tackling effort, Dyson has good closing speed, anticipation on passes and added ability to blitz off the edge.
