John Curtis two-way standout Justin Brooks committed to Nicholls State over an offer from Arkansas State.

At 6-foot-3 and 255-pounds, Brooks was a dominant run blocker for the Division I Select champion Patriots but his future probably lies on the defensive line. He should be capable of tacking on sufficient weight and gain enough strength to handle that side of the ball.

Brooks has a superb attitude as a total team player who never complains and is willing to perform the unselfish duties which help a team be successful.
