As we just mentioned Monday with the listing of the metro area’s top 25 for 2020, defensive tackle Patrick Jenkins was favoring TCU. Well, that prediction came to fruition when the former LSU pledge committed to the Horned Frogs.

The 6-foot-2, 285 pound John Ehret product committed to the Tigers on July 17 but backed out of his pledge September 20th.

The No. 7 rated prospect in greater New Orleans fits well in a four-man front, displaying an explosive first step and a hot motor. Jenkins displays a physical and nasty presence between the stripes. He reminds me very much of former Ehret and LSU defensive tackle Drake Nevis at the same stage of development.

Jenkins is the 13th commitment for TCU’s 2020 class.
