The 6-2, 204 pounder is Louisiana’s top rated safety and sixth ranked overall in the 2021 class.
Williams is a physical player who unloads on ball carriers. He could grow into an outside linebacker due to his athletic skills and frame. He totaled 50 tackles in 2019 along with six interceptions, the same total he picked off the previous season.
If he signs, Williams will join a long list of Pelican state products who have made their way to the Crimson Tide roster. There are currently 10 players from Louisiana on their 2020 roster – LB Dylan Moses (Baton Rouge), LB Christopher Allen (Southern Lab), WR Devonta Smith (Amite), DL Ishmael Sopsher (Amite), LB Christian Harris (University High), DB Eddie Smith (Salmen), WR Slade Bolden (West Monroe), DB Ronald Williams (Ferriday), DT Phidarian Mathis (Neville) and PK Joseph Bulovas (Mandeville).
A couple of safeties born in the New Orleans area, Tommy Wilcox (1981) and Landon Collins (2014), also starred at Alabama.
