The 6-2, 201 pounder runs extremely well. He shattered the school record in the 60 meter hurdles, originally set by current NFL linebacker Duke Riley, with a 7.93 time. Horne also performs on the 4X200 and the 4X400 relay teams for the Patriots.
Horne considered offers from Tulane, Texas Tech, Vanderbilt, Louisiana Tech, Southeastern Louisiana, UTSA and Troy. Texas Tech also made it interesting during the process. Assistant coach Bryant Ross has led the recruiting effort for the Ragin Cajuns.
