Recruiting: Former LSU, John Curtis OT Willie Allen commits to La. Tech

Former LSU and John Curtis offensive tackle Willie Allen has decided to continue his college career at Louisiana Tech.

The 4 star signee with LSU in the 2016 class at 6-foot-8 and 300 pounds suffered a leg injury which required surgery in his freshman season. Entering the spring semester of 2017, he decided to seek greener pastures.

LSU blocked his intention to transfer to TCU , stating that the Horned Frogs staff tampered while he was still on LSU’s campus. Allen then headed to Tyler JUCO where he played in 2017.

Allen had offers from La. Tech, Baylor, Ball State, Minnesota, Miss. State, Syracuse, TCU, West Va\irginia, UCF and UCLA.

The current La. Tech class includes 14 early signees and seven pledges. If he signs, Allen will be immediately eligible.
