Iverson Celestine

The Tulane Green Wave will lose a pair of running backs due to graduation following the 2020 campaign. Corey Dauphine will run out of eligibility after suffering an injury this summer that will cause him to miss the season. Stephon Huderson also will exhaust his eligibility.

In efforts to restock the position, Tulane took its second running back commitment for the 2021 recruiting class from Fontainebleau’s Iverson Celestine.

The 5-foot-10, 198 pounder tabbed the Wave over an impressive list of offers from Utah, Colorado, South Alabama, LA Tech, Southern Miss, Wake Forest and Toledo.

Celestine has accumulated 3,875 career yards with 36 touchdowns, averaging an eye-popping 13.3 yards per carry. He has soft hands and is good receiver out of the backfield. Named all-district twice and having earned all-metro honors, Celestine is a very physical runner who breaks tackles, runs behind his pads, shows terrific balance and uses an extra gear to run away from pursuit.

Holy Cross runner Jaden Handy previously committed to Tulane for the 2021 class.
