Former Tulane defensive back Jadon Canady has transferred to Ole Miss.

The 5-foot-11, 180-pound junior out of Jacksonville, Florida native started at nickelback as a freshman for the Green Wave in 2021, recording 55 stops and a pair of interceptions. He also returned a fumble recovery 56 yards for a score against Houston.

Canady played in seven games last year at cornerback before tearing his ACL and meniscus in October. The staff expected him to miss at least part of the ’23 campaign due to the injury but Canady insists he will be ready for the season opener.

Ole Miss visits Yulman Stadium to face Tulane on September 9.

Possessing excellent ball skills, Canady looks to be a good fit in the Pete Golding’s defense for the Rebels. He will have two seasons of eligibility.
